Who is Abul A'la Maududi (Rahmatullah Alayh)?

Maulana is not merely deserving of praise,he is a name that made the Muslim Ummah understand the true essence of Deen. He is among the greatest scholars of this century, a highly distinguished Islamic thinker, a dignified author, a revolutionary intellectual. A man who dedicated his entire life to the cause of Spreading Allah's Revelation. The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, he authored more than 100 books and clarified that Islam is a complete way of life.

His works are a matter of pride. He is my favorite author, and one of his books, “Saniha-e-Masjid Aqsa” is especially close to my heart. This book captures the suppressed voice of the oppression faced by Al-Aqsa - a voice meant to reach every Muslim heart, reminding them that Al-Aqsa is calling out, from the beginning of oppression to its peak.

This book, “Saniha-e-Masjid Aqsa” was written at a time when Israeli Zionist forces set fire to Masjid Al-Aqsa. It is based on Maulana Maududi’s speeches addressing that tragedy. The incident of arson at Al-Aqsa wounded the heart of every Muslim, as their third holiest mosque was set ablaze. This was part of a Zionist plan aimed at demolishing Al-Aqsa and constructing the so-called Temple of Solomon.

These are the same forces who violated the dignity of Muslims, who occupied Palestine and mercilessly massacred its people, seizing their lands. These are the same Zionists who played a role in the removal of Sultan Abdul Hamid II when he refused to accept bribes. These are the same who weakened the foundations of Al-Aqsa, opened fire on worshippers, and set the mosque on fire. With the support of the British government, they occupied Palestine ,a land inhabited by Arabs for thousands of years and carried out acts of genocide, while falsely claiming it to be their ancestral land.

At this moment, I am reminded of a couplet by Allama Iqbal:

Amal Se farig hua, Musalman bana ke Taqdeer ka bahana.

"When a Muslim abandons action, he hides behind fate as an excuse."

If we look at the present time, what is happening in Palestine? Genocide has become common. The land that was once the center of the Prophets is now filled with explosives, piles of dead bodies, and innocent children being brutally killed. The blessed place of the Prophet’s ascension (Mi'raj) is being desecrated. The mosque that once echoed with the call to prayer is being locked. Muslims are not even allowed to offer Eid prayers.

Remember, these are the same forces acting today as they did in the past. Just as Britain once supported the Zionist state, today America is doing the same. The entire international community remains silent. At times, there is temporary outrage, but unfortunately, no real action follows.

I say: the Muslim Ummah must unite. We must become the voice of Salahuddin Ayyubi and take a stand against this oppression, because Al-Aqsa is calling.

In conclusion, I say this:

Al-Aqsa - the first Qiblah, the center of the Prophets, the place of Mi'raj of our beloved Prophet ( Saw), the homeland of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), the place of devotion for the pious, the dwelling of the Messengers ,this is the same Qiblah toward which Muslims once turned in prayer. It is the place where resurrection will occur. This sacred land is mentioned in the Qur’an. It is the city where Isa ibn Maryam lived.

The protection of this blessed land is the responsibility of every Muslim. The Ummah must unite and confront this Zionist conspiracy with faith, knowledge, unity, piety, and struggle in the path of Allah. We must rise with the spirit of Salahuddin Ayyubi and remember: this is not about an ordinary land—l, it is about the sacred place of the Prophet’s leadership and ascension. Al-Aqsa cannot be left at the mercy of opportunists. This is not just Palestine’s issue ,it is the issue of the entire Muslim Ummah.

The solution is clear: justice must prevail, and the rightful ownership of Palestine must be restored. If we still do not awaken, then remember:

"If one turns away from Allah, even knowledge becomes a trial;

Wealth, children, and property become trials;

If one does not rise for truth, even the sword becomes a trial

And not just the sword, even the call of ‘Allahu Akbar’ becomes a trial."

I conclude my words here, leaving you with this question:

Al-Aqsa calling out to us?
