Uncertainty- Lack of sureness. I can’t count the number of times I have used or thought about this word in the past 2 years. Uncountable peculiar and distressing events around the world resulted in everyone pondering over one specific question , “What’s gonna happen next?”. The experience of uncertainty can be subjective. Some might have been scared, others would have started planning things hoping that it would work out eventually, meanwhile others would have even sat back and relaxed. What brings comfort is knowing that all of us are in it together. Social media played a significant role acting as a platform to represent the collective emotions people were experiencing. Random acts of kindness, prayers, small positive affirmations, etc acted like a glimmer of hope. The thing I admired the most is that despite all our differences, we found a way to connect and hold on to each other during uncertain times.
The truth is the only thing certain in life is uncertainty and the only way to get through it is to accept it. As long as we remind ourselves and others of this fact, I think we’ll be okay.
