Who are we? What do we do? What’s our aim? Read to know!
“Little girls with dreams become women with vision”
Islam, a religion of liberation and peace, encourages us to explore our hidden talents. We derive our inspiration from young women like Hafsah Faizal, an author placed in the Forbes 30 under 30 and the heroes of the CAA NRC protests, Ayesha Renna and Ladeeda Farzana, who raised one finger against the wrong and made the nation look towards the right. A paradigm is being set that women can scale heights hand in hand, with flair and faith.
The Girls Islamic Organisation of India is a student organisation, the daughter wing of Jamaat-E-Islaami Hind (JIH). This initiative was taken to facilitate young Indian girls to face this world with faith and conviction and to reap rich rewards in the hereafter.
GIO strives for justice and prosperity on all fronts - from discovering solutions to strengthening their values and principles and enhancing their power of action & reaction.
It helps the girls live according to the fundamentals of Islam , found in The Quran and Sunnah. It also brings out the best in the girls through camps, campaigns, contests, workshops and regular classes. It tries to enrich their educational levels, bolster and help them discover their talents with diverse activities.
Keeping these aims in mind, we the young women of GIO seek to continue upon the legacy left behind by the young, brave & historic women by working for a better world while imbibing the principles of truth and peace.
